Wrestling wins first at Districts

The wrestling team competed in the wrestling class 2 districts at Monett last weekend and came home with the first place plaque. The roosters qualifed six for the state tournament, Jarrod Lightfoot at 112, Kolton Ross at 103, Josh Hastings at 130, Andrew Watson at 140, Tyler Brittingham at 145 and Devin Snow at 215. They will compete in the State Wrestling tournament this weekend in Columbia at Mizzou Arena on Thursday- Saturday.

Tournament a Success!

Last week's 85th annual Pleasant Hill tournament was deemed a success with the girls preserving their perfect record 12-0 in a championship thriller defeating Pembroke Hill in triple overtime, 61-55. Our Roosters also secured the third place trophy defeating a conference foe, the Grain Valley Eagles, 53-49. Four players from Pleasant Hill made the all-tournament team, Josh Griffith, Hanna Thomsen, Cara Jo Wesemann and Kindred Wesemann. Kindred also won the best free throw percentage with 75%. The boys champion were the Smithville Warriors and the 3rd place champion on the girls side was the Grain Valley Lady Eagles who defeated Holden in overtime.
